"Sweet Spot" detail of an abstract painting
close up detail of the abstract painting "After A Good Rain".....click the image above to see the full painting
Well I've worked in the studio this week, but no pics to show. Sorry about that. The week just flew by and I was feeling a bit fatigued so I took it easy on myself. Spent some time working on some new stuff for my newsletter peeps (super exclusive stuff.....you can get all the info by clicking here) and cooking for my family. Just slowed down a bit this week after a flurry of creating last week....
.....it's all ebb and flow in the artist's life.....and I've just learned to go with it.
I have a full weekend ahead....starting with family movie night tonight. My kiddo has requested Mr. Peabody and Sherman (much to his dad's dismay). I adore animated films! So having a little one give me the excuse to watch them. ;)
Oh and be sure to click over to the newsletter page for a special little somethin' I put together for ya if you subscribe....later gator! Have a wonderful weekend! And try to stay dry.....I know I'll be donning my rain gear all weekend. Lol!

A little close up peek of some of current paintings in progress...
Here's a shot of my worktable....which is quite clean in this pic. Right now it actually has bottles and tubes of acrylic paint scattered about along with pencils and pastels and paint brushes. I'm gonna go straighten it up a bit and get back to work 'cause I have lots of pieces in progress to get finished up. Remember I'll be posting here on my blog regularly so be sure to stop in at least a few times a week to see what happening in my studio.

The paintings that emerge all on their own are the most special to me.....maybe because I'm in the midst of emerging myself....fully into who I was created to be. Almost from the beginning, this piece almost seemed to have a mind of it's own.....knowing where it needed to go to speak it's message. I was only the vehicle used to express it.
This piece is composed of acrylic, wax pastel, and graphite on vellum bristol paper. It has a small white border around the edges for easy framing.
Designer painted jeans???

Sometimes I pick my kiddo up from school in my work clothes....and for me that would be my painting jeans. He's recently gotten to where it bugs him, which I'm chalking up to the whole "pre-teen" thing that's starting to happen.
When I posted this pic on my Facebook page yesterday, I had a few people say that painted jeans are popular now and I could create some and sell them and call them "designer painted jeans". Not saying I'll do it, but it's an intriguing idea I must say.
I'm trying to get back to posting here on my blog regularly.....hoping for at least twice a week or more. So keep your eyes out for new posts every week! I'm super busy in the studio and I want to share what I'm up to.....in between times, you can always find me on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
Much love + blessings!
