A story to tell
My paintings this week all seem to have a common thread running through them...each with their own story to tell. The stories aren't clear to me yet (I know God will give me all the pieces in His time and when I'm ready to hear them), but the sense I've been given is they are all about listening and connecting. The first pic below is of the painting from today's earlier post. I'm in awe of the images that came forth from it! I can't wait to paint it! But that will have to wait til Monday.
The second pic is the painting from my studio table post yesterday. I had hoped to finish it today, but alas my day was filled with other things that took my attention away. Although I'm really enjoying it just how it is right now. :)
Have a great evening y'all! Blessings & hugs to all!!!
New progress of a painting video series
The idea came to me as I was starting another background underpainting, to film each step as I go. What you see is the raw footage, unedited, uploaded straight to YouTube from my iPhone. I'm holding my phone while i'm filming, so please excuse the camera movement. Boy is it hard to hold my phone and paint. lol! Here are the first three of six quick little vids (approximately 1 minute or less in length) showing each step in the progress of one of my background underpaintings I worked on yesterday. The part you don't see in the first video is where I used a tube of paint to write words on the canvas....I needed my other hand to hold the canvas still while I wrote....sometimes I wish I had three hands. lol! Enjoy :D
A little warmup
Decided I had to clean up the worktable today before getting started...only had room to work on that little 5x5 from the previous post and I wanted to warmup by doing some background underpainting first. This is two I started as one painting. After I work on finishing yesterday's painting, I'll look at these and see what's waiting there for me to paint. :D
