Better pics of work in progress
Just popping in really quick to post a couple of better photos of the piece I'm currently working on. Would love to hear what you think of her. I've tried a few new things while working on her face and I'd love some feedback.
Well I'd better run. Aiden's got an appointment with the speech pathologist at the elementary school down the street and we need to get going in a few if we're actually gonna be there in time. Much love to y'all! xoxo
High quality version of latest video & online classes update
Click To Play
Good morning y'all! Here's a bigger and higher quality version of my last video. You'll need the Quicktime player to view it. When you click on it, a new player will open in a pop up window....go ahead and click play and then pause it. Let it load for a little bit before you hit play again, otherwise the video will stop and start. This version is at a higher resolution that the YouTube version, therefore the file size is much larger and will take more time to load. I think it'll be worth the wait though. ;) This is more along the lines of the quality of the videos you'll be getting in my online classes....and actually they'll be even better because they are not sped up and I have the camera right beside me while I'm demonstrating and explaining what I'm doing. It'll be like you're standing in my studio and looking right over my shoulder! Pretty great, huh? :D
Speaking of my online classes, I'm getting ready to post the first class supply list to the private class blog in a little while so if you're signed up for the backgrounds class that starts on February 18th be on the lookout for an email from me later today. I've been getting emails asking if there's any room left in the classes....there's still some room left in both the backgrounds class and the faces class, but at the rate people are signing up I may have to close class sign ups soon....especially for the backgrounds class. Once I close class sign ups, I will take the payment buttons down off of the online classes page. So if you still see the payment buttons, then sign ups are still open. :)
Well I'd better get a movin'....so much to do today and Aiden's home sick from school. Poor guy been coughing his head off all morning....and as all you moms know, it's even harder, if not impossible, to get things done when you've got a sick little one to look after.

General Class Info:
All classes will be conducted via a private blog where all materials & lessons for the class will be posted and available the very first day of class so you can go at your own pace.....supply list, step by step PDF lesson notes, and downloadable high quality videos showing how I use each of the techniques we'll be covering. The class videos file sizes are quite large and you will need a high speed internet connection in order to view them properly.
I have also set up a Flickr group and a private Google group for class members only. Participation on the class blog, in the Flickr group and/or Google group are encouraged for the full class experience, but are not required.
Within 48-72 hours of sending your payment, you will receive a payment confirmation by email that contains the complete class supply list. A day or two before the class starts, I will email all class members with the blog username/password and an invitation to the Flickr & Google groups. You will then be able to access the private class blog. All videos will be available on the first day of class so that you can go at your own pace.
Each video lesson will be anywhere from 10-25 minutes in length. It's totally up to you how much time you spend practicing the techniques I demonstrate. :)
Please do not share the usernames/passwords, videos, or class materials with anyone. They are for paid class members only and just for your personal use. All class materials/videos are property of Paulette Insall © 2008-2009 and are not for distribution.
Payments:
I am accepting payment of class fees via PayPal (Most credit cards are accepted with this method. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay via PayPal).
Even though these are online classes, I will limit the class sizes because I can only handle so many students per class and still give everyone personal attention. So be sure to sign up early to make sure you don't miss out. :)
Refunds:
Class fee is fully refundable until the day before a class starts. Once the class starts, no refunds will be offered.
Skills needed:
I've made accessing all class info as easy and straightforward as possible by using the blog format. So if you're familiar with blogs, then you'll have no problem. Even if you're not, its really simple and I provide instructions on how to participate/comment on the class blog FAQ page. You'll just need to enter the username and password that I will provide in order to access the private class blog.
A high speed internet connection is required for viewing & downloading class video lessons. They are high quality Quicktime videos in 640x480 resolution and may take anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours to load. Past students have said that it was more than worth the wait. :)
