Featured at Artistaday.com

Hey y'all! Just a quickie post to tell everyone I'm today's featured artist over on Artistaday.com. It would be awesome if you could cruise on over and give me a rating (5 stars if you're so inclined ;)). They have a top 25 list and I'm really close to being listed on there....I just need some more high rating votes. If all my bloggy friends would pop over and give me some love, then it would put my feature page in their top artist list and keep me visible on their website. I would really appreciate the support. Thanks y'all!!!

Edit: Yes, you can still vote even though my featured day was July 26th. Just look on the right side of the page for the stars and click the far right star if you wanna give me 5 stars. ;) :D If everyone will take a minute and head over there and vote, I might even end up in the top five which will get me listed on the home page. Woo hoo!!! Again, thanks for all your support and your sweet comments. xoxo

Some more exciting news...I've been published!!!

Exhibition36bookI'm so very excited to tell you that I have some of my work in a couple of upcoming publications. I've been itching to tell ya about them, but up until recently it all had to stay very hush, hush. The first is a wonderful book (available for pre-order now on Amazon) titled Exhibition 36: A Gallery of Mixed-Media Inspiration authored by artist Susan Tuttle. The book is scheduled for release in December 2008, but if you pre-order it you will be sure to get your copy as soon as it is released...which sometimes I've found is earlier than the "offical" release date. Not sure when I'll be able to give you a peek of what I did for it, but as soon as I can let the cat out the bag, you know I'll be showing ya. ;) :D

I am so honored that Susan asked me to contribute to this amazing book, which includes some fantastic artists....Karen Michel, Ted Orland, Claudine Hellmuth, Suzanne Simanaitis, Richard Salley, Jonathan Talbot just to name a few. I created an original painting especially for the book along with an in depth step by step article on how I created the painting.

IndieartsIssue8The second is a very cool DVD magazine called Indie Arts. A gallery of some of my work has been featured as a slide show on the upcoming summer issue to be released July 1st. Be sure to go check out this very unique publication. I got my advanced copy last week and it's very cool!!!!

I'm just so tickled to have been asked to contribute to both of these! I would love to do more! Aiden will be stating kindergarten in the fall, so I'll have lots more time in a few months to paint. Right now....painting time is almost non-existent. But its summer time and we're trying to just go with the flow at the moment. There will be plenty of time come fall for getting up early and rushing around to get out the door. And lemme just say, I've never been known for being on time....hence the rushing to get out the door part. ;)  LOL!
