Something I’ve been exploring through my sketching lately is stuffed animals…which I had quite the collection of as a girl. What did you/do you collect? What would you like to see me draw/paint next?
There’s no school today and I woke up with a runny nose (seems I’m not going to avoid coming down with what the kiddo has), so we are taking it easy here today and staying home. Might venture out to the library later if I’m feeling up to it. I have a whole bunch of books on hold about watercolor technique, so I REALLY want to go pick those up. Watercolor is much different than acrylic paint and I find myself wanting to learn more about working with it. I love the feel of my sketches and want to preserve that more and I think watercolor will do that…and I have pan watercolor/gouache here at home just begging to be used more regularly.
Have a lovely weekend and I’ll see y’all back here next week, ok? Ok! xoxo

Yep. We’ve been trying to avoid passing around the ‘creeping crud’ here at our house, too. I hope you all feel better soon!
I’ve been having fun with my watercolor pencils, lately. Checking out books on watercolor techniques sounds like a great idea! *sigh* I love the library.
I had a little lamb…and no, my name isn’t Mary. It had long legs and was so, so soft.
Blessings!

Hi Paulette! So nice to see you over at StudioJRU! I have set this year as a year to explore watercolor myself…I have been collecting pinterest pins with watercolor tutorials…
I do like your sketches with “lovies” – very sweet. Hope you both are feeling well quickly!

I didn’t really have many stuffed animals growing up, but Evalynn sure does. Love this little girl, so pretty!
